Don't Give up(2)

Welcome back.

Not giving up means that we trust God that He will do as promised.(Numbers 23:19)
The fact that we have the favour of God gives us hope of not giving up on any matter. Gods favour has which has 2 children: His Mercies and Grace

These two are different and work in our lives at different occasions giving different results.
His grace:  for it was by grace we were saved through faith(Ephesians 2:8-10). Now note through faith.
A believer operates in grace when matured and has understanding. Again, a matured believer can sometimes be weak, confused, and fail God in some situations; at this time, His mercies come into play. Mercy is God's faith and love in action to an unbelieving believer and also to a non-believer.

Gods mercy works in us to produce grace in our lives so that a person is established in faith and Grace.
A good example of mercy is that of Jesus dying for a rebellious and unbelieving world and a classical example of grace is yet the thief on the right hand of Jesus who got saved by believing that Jesus was the son of God and that He was guiltless.(Luke 23:32-43)

Now, are you going to give up?

Nay!
We will not; having so much love from a father ever willing to right the wrongs in our lives.

You can always call upon God's Mercies and Grace even when you are strong in faith, God knows where we are weak  and He will never refuse the humble and contrite soul.

Will you not call on Him now!

Don't give up

Greetings.

I will talking in the next 2 series on not giving up.
This message is borne out of my own life experiences of not giving up on God despite that prevailing situation.

God encourages us in the book of Job 14: 7- 9 that though things go wrong in lives and hope seems to be lost; but through His presence and the Holy Spirit we shall yet spring back to life as if nothing ever happened to us.

We shall be going through scriptures where we will find encouraging words from God concerning every situation that life has and had presented to us.

Remember what God said in Isaiah Chapter 43 in the first 4 verses. Many unpleasant things may spring up in our lives; but he has promised never to leave us but rather He promised that we will go through those situations victorious for His name.

I look forward to meeting you online again.

The very peace of God abide, guide and guard you until His coming in Jesus Name. Amen

Who God is (2)

Welcome back.
Often, we mention the name God in our conversations and in prayer: but have we ever thought of that name: God?(Job 33:4)
With every due respect, I can say:

  • God is who is indefinable, limitless, without age, beginning or end. Revelation 1:8
  • He his all powerful, loving and plenteous in mercy. Psalm 103:8
  • He executes perfect judgement and justice with no respect to persons, race nor creed. Job 37:23; Psalms 89:14; Isaiah 9:7
  • He his the ever-living creator and there is no other God besides Him. Deuteronomy 4: 35&39
  • God is more than human understanding and expression.Isaiah 55:8-9
  • Above all, God dwells with the lowly and humble in heart; never with the proud and arrogant. Isaiah 57:15
  • God the awesome one does great and unsearchable things and He his far above all His works we call awesome.Job 5:9; Job 36:26

At this time, I would love to correct an error; many have discussed about God in wrong ways. One of them is to say that His ways are mysterious and cannot be known. This is not true. (Job 32:8)
A mystery can be said to exist over a situation, circumstance or person that cannot be understood and may never be understood in any way. But God can, that was why He gave us the Bible and all that we see around us, but we simply ignore this because we just don't want to look.
If  we say God is a mystery, we are deeply wrong as He has consistently expressed His person in creation. He has shown His manifold wisdom and power in what we see. What we see is an expression of the nature of God even evident in our very own selves.(Psalms 19:1-2)
To say that because we do not understand how God make or creates does not confer the title of mysterious on Him. Why? He said my ways are not your ways and as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways. He has shown us why we cannot understand some things because If He did try to explain to us; our frames and minds cannot and would not comprehend how and that is no longer a mystery ( Isaiah 55:8-9

So, God isn't a mysterious being who has laid standards and requirements that cannot be met. They cannot be met if He were mysterious; but He isn't.

As we search the scriptures, I pray our God of light and awesome wonder reveal Himself more to you and me in ways words can never express.
God bless you.
