Who is God(1)

Welcome back.

For the next 2-weeks we shall be discovering who God is. I am highly excited as I believe I shall re-discover God in a way I never imagined in the weeks to come.
Agreed, many would say; I know who God is. He his a Spirit and all who must worship God must do so in Spirit and in truth. Is that all you about Him?
Do you know that God:

  • Cannot lie
  • Cannot change
  • Does not exist in time
  • God cannot take back what he gives to you
  • God is Love(we shall explore what love really is in the expression of God)
  • God always relates Judgement and Justice
  • Is all merciful
  • God cannot stand sin ( sin in far more insidious than we think, we shall learn here why God loves the sinner but hates his/her sin and why he had to eliminate the power of sin)
  • God is not the opposite of Satan
  • Created all things(seen and unseen)
These are just few attributes of His being to excite us about who our father is. Oops! Did I say father? Oh Yes father.
The greatest revelation of God I had was His fatherhood. I never really had a father figure; but God was there all along for me, for us all. This would bring comfort to many who thought that God hated them for having not provided a physical father figure around them.
The excitement is real and I am more than excited in my spirit.

God bless you.

Why we need to Enforce the Victory of Jesus over our Life and How to.

Why we need to Enforce the Victory of Jesus over our Life and How to.

Welcome back.
When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary and said it was finished! He meant the battle over sin for our lives was over but the damage caused by sin needed to be rectified.
It was finished meant; you now have the legal right to right the wrongs in your life and others according to the will of God.
It is finished; God was saying I have done the ultimate; now you to do the maintenance and taking over. Remember God telling Israel go over the arnon river and contend with Sihon King of Heshbon and begin to take over his land (Numbers 21: 34; Deuteronomy 2:24-31). There was a paradox here. God said, I have given you his land but you need to contend in battle to take over what I have given you. How can you say you have given me something and still require me to fight to take it over?
There was a clear reason for this and I explain based on experience.
In God telling Israel to contend in battle against the Amorites He was teaching and telling them:
  • How easy it was to route out any enemy as long as they believe Him and followed His instructions
  • Teaching them the tactics of warfare( ours is fought in the spirit realm  and the enemies are not different from the time of Israel, the only difference is the realm at which these battles are now fought)
  • Confidence in themselves and in God as they obeyed Him
  • Teaching the younger ones how to war and win
  • Establishing the power and intelligence of God over the nations Israel defeated and the surrounding people.
The book of Isaiah 54:17 proves all this. In this scripture, God was talking to us through the prophet that it was His duty that no weapon (plan, scheme, wars etc) planned against us would prosper as long as we declare with our lips and faith in our hearts that the enemy is defeated. Faith cannot be overemphasized; it is the foundation of our Christian walk. It says here; with thy mouth thou shall condemn in judgment all those who rise against you. As long as you resist, I will in essence says God, resist on your behalf. But you must do the talking and resisting by wielding my victory over your life, situation(s) or circumstance(s). Isaiah 8:9-10
Many Christians including the writer in time past had thought by being good, doing Gods will and helping others was a guarantee against satanic attacks; I was wrong. Our righteousness guarantees us the right to use Gods weapons of warfare and does not include the automatic response of these weapons activating themselves. We need in essence activate them ourselves through faith and by declaring by scripture based words as intended by God against a negative situation.
Ephesians Chapter 6 makes it clear that we need to put on the whole armour of God. Put on is an action word that you and I need to do. When we do this; we are call on angelic help and the Holy Spirit move on our behalf. We do this process with respect and honour to God and not command Him to do things as if He was a machine to obey our bidding. Never forget this; God is almighty and has emotions, otherwise we would not have emotions ourselves and since we were created in His image, we must in effect have respect for Him and order our steps as we do in the earthly realm towards our superiors or those we honour.  It is very important to note this that constant victory over evil forces can be achieved if and only if we stand according to scriptures. God will never do anything outside the written word. Many have gone after other desires and say God cannot heal nor save any more, it is a lie of the devil, and we need to be careful ourselves.
Why we need to enforce the victory of Jesus over our lives:
  • To enable the believer do Gods will and fulfill his God given purpose on earth
  • That the will of God be done on earth as it is done in heaven.
  • To prove that Jesus is Lord and thus bring many to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  • To release the knowledge and intelligence of God on the earth.
  • To prove that God loves humanity and is not depriving us of any good thing.
  • To prove the excellent power of God over Sin, Sickness, Habits, Situations and Death.
  • To herald the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To show that Jesus is the beginning and end of all things.
How to enforce the victory of Jesus over our lives:
  • Consciously walking with God and asking Him to protect you and your loved ones. Proverbs 18:10
  • Declaring Gods promises over your life and loved ones. Proverbs 18:20-21
  • Breaking unfavourable repeated cycles seen in your life. Galatians 3:13; Colossians 1:13-14; Colossians 2:13-18
  • Declaring your new life in Jesus so that angelic forces and the Holy Spirit know you truly believe in heavens cause and will(Desire). Romans 8:1-4
  • Breaking satanic strongholds in your life and others. Isaiah 49:13-16  & 24 -26
  • Walking in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-26
This is not exhaustive but if you and I do this little and continue in the obedience of the Holy Spirit, surely victory will continually remain ours.

I pray God breath on us and cause His face to continually shine on us and cause the earth to yield its increase towards us. Amen.

Praise - a sure way to Gods Heart

Praise- a sure way to Gods manifestation
Welcome back. I sure believe by God that all is well with you.
Today, we are discussing about praise, what praise is and how to offer genuine praise to God.
I shall quickly mention this opening statement(s): we want to build our foundation to effective praise and answers from God the way it should be, the way I have practically done it over the years as Christian and obtained real results.
Firstly, I want us never to forget this; God cannot be mocked, He knows those are His, and He will answer according to the depth of relationship you and I have with Him.(II Timothy 2:19)
Some of us don't get answers to our prayers because we make God a push button or a vending machine.
First thing first, If I am not familiar with you, I cannot in essence open up some areas of my life to you; likewise God Almighty.
The intent behind God forming us (note, man was made in the likeness of God and in His image Genesis 1:26) and giving us a free will was for fellowship or in simple terms; for relationship.
Let me break that down.
Relation- To relate is to discuss with, come to level with or come to connection.
Ship- Carrier, vessel
Lets put it together now: discussion on the same area, level, or having an understanding with each other.
Praise can never be effective with out a relationship with God. Praise, is a form of prayer and prayer is communion with God.
Prayer likewise praise is not, muttering of words, styles of movements nor of a musical orchestration. Praise is a form of prayer comes from the realm of man spirit. Only God has access to this area. No matter how depraved a man may be, once he goes into the mode of praise to God he will see God move. Now, a man can never praise God if he has not seen the reason to; when a depraved man sees his depravity and accepts that God and Jesus Christ our Lord and savior his is only way out of darkness and decides to go into the mode of praise to God, be sure heaven will respond; and heavens response will  be that of deliverance and restoration.
I will explain why.

Psalm 8:2; Matthew 21:16

Hard as it maybe to thank God in unpalatable conditions, the two scriptures above speak volumes of the essence and effect  of thanksgiving from a true heart towards God in bad or good times.
Praise is thanking God for who He his despite a prevailing good or bad circumstance. Praise tells God and yourself that despite this God is God and God will do as He says He will do. It is a form of prayer that you unleashes your faith and hooks you up with Gods faith.
Your emotions may be going haywire at such times, voices ringing in your ears-why me; voices of foul spirits laughing and mocking, telling you after all your sacrifices to this God, time, money, resources spent is this what you deserve from Him?
Praise is a sure weapon of warfare; it never fails when done with a grateful heart. It reverses the irreversible and dethrones powers and principalities.(Psalm 149:6; Psalm 144;9)
How do we offer genuine praise to God.
I will explain this in a very clear and simple manner. To offer praise to God in a manner that is acceptable to Him and that will cause Him to move on your behalf; you and I must necessarily be void of offence towards our fellow man(Psalm 11:7;1 Peter 4:11) . Satan uses offense to make our praise to God ineffective.
Praise is an act of faith just as prayer is
Praise is a form of prayer
Praise are words spoken, sang or rhythmize effectively telling yourself who God is
Effective Praise - How to
It is only when you believe in your heart who God Is( Hebrews 11 :6): only then will your words become alive by Gods Spirit and become effective either as a weapon, or supplication to God for a change or request in your environment. John 6:63; Exodus 15:11; Psalm 22:3
I close with this scripture in the book of Psalms; it is the very summary of this message. As you read it, I pray God cause His face to shine on you. Amen.

Psalm 67
God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine on us; Selah.
That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God even our own God, shall bless us.
God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
